Escape identifies novel small molecule mediators involved in hair regrowth and regeneration.
Escape Therapeutics announces the online publication of its research on hair regrowth and regeneration.
The article, titled "Small cutaneous wounds induce telogen to anagen transition of murine hair follicle stem cells,"
was led by Escape scientists Drs. Shu Jiang, MD, PhD and Longmei Zhao, MD, PhD, who co-authored the study which
established a useful model to investigate the influence of wounding on hair follicle stem cell cycling. Understanding
the signaling pathways that modulate anagen induction of hair follicle stem cells is critical to development of efficacious
therapeutics for the variety of hair loss conditions afflicting patients. The senior author on the
article is Dr. Basil M.
Hantash, MD, PhD, Escape's Chief Executive Officer.
